Black Hole
Daily the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) gathers around 192 Petabytes of the worlds’ communications, including Internet browsing history, email content, social media posts and telephone calls. This data is saved in a storage programme known as Black Hole and analysed to create an in depth profile of the people we are on and offline. This project asks the viewer to consider what information they regard as private and how their actions would differ online if they were aware someone was watching them.
